I AM SO PROUD OF YOU GIRLS!!

Having danced my sophmore year with my incredibly supportive pledge class and house, and now looking back as a committee member where it is now my third year with IUDM, it still feels great! I love being there to support the new sophmore pledge class with all of their challenges and excitments! It is about half way through the marathon, and I cannot wait to see the unvailing of the total! We have all worked so hard to raise money and to be here today, we are all feeling what a great honor it is. Shout out to everybody holding it together and standing on their feet for all of these hours! It is so worth it. I am SO proud of SDT's PC'11. You girls will succeed with flying colors! Amazing job, keep up the great work, you girls are truly an inspiration. Love you girls, and great job all the other dancers and committee members! FTK

We're Baaaaaaack!!!!

We are having a wonderful time being back at IUDM. We love being in Bloomington, seeing all of our IUDM friends, and especially love being at the HPER where all the action is. We can't believe how much it has grown and can't wait to see the numbers go up tomorrow morning at 8am.

The most amazing event in the WORLD!!

Coming back to Indiana for this event is something that I have been looking forward to for months, as soon as you walk in the door you can feel the energy. The feeling of being a part of something so wonderful is a feeling that I wish everyone could feel. Its uncanny what these kids can do in such a short period of time. When the total is raised and the event is over its great to know that we helped in a such a real way. GO IUDM!!!

I feel unbelievable, I am loving every minute of IUDM 08!! I don't even feel the pain anymore, just enjoying every second for the Riley Kids. Everytime it gets hard, I think about the kids who can't even stand up and I am doing this for them. I want them for this one weekend, to feel like they aren't sick. I want to be the one to provide the hope and inspiration for them. We're almost there!!! KEEP GOING!!! Have the passion to dream big and the heart to live bigger. IUDM 08.

my feet feel like they could fall off. at times i want to give up but playing w/ the kids helps alot b/c we're doing this for a WONDERFUL cause... however, when this is all finished i expect alpha chi omega to rub my feet.

As my third year doing dance marathon I'd have to say this is the best year yet! Everyone has been very encouraging thus far!

Hi I am Carter! I'm 8 yrs old and I like IUDM. I played four square with some big kids. I like the people alot!

I feel honored to be here tonight supporting the kids. I knew that what we are doing is making a difference, but to see the children's faces and all of the campus working together, is just amazing. I am so happy to be a part of such an amazing organization and cannot wait to participate again next year!

Being on OPS, we've been setting up for the past 24 hrs..and it all is definitely worth it!! People are having a great time!

Sooooo its only been about 3 hours and 9 minutes into IUDM and i have already laughed, danced, screamed, eaten, and cried! I still have a long way to go and I can already see why this event is such and amazing and life changing experience for everyone involved! I cant wait to take it all in! Come visit!!!!! As committee members, we can't believe its finally here. After a year of planning, its so wonderful to see the energy in the room! The children are playing with everyone, students interacting, and organizers running around. We can't wait to see the final numbers!! FOR THE KIDS!

Gamma Phi Loves IUDM

We have only been here a few hours and we are already starting to feel it! As soon as we entered the gym my heart exploded with excitement. The very first Riley kid got on stage and immediately my eyes started tearing up and I fell in love. We have a long road ahead and yet I already feel such pride in what we have accomplished. This is a truly unique experience and I am so happy to be a part of something so amazing.

IUDM..... well when you first are let out of the gym and enter the actual area which it is held... its a hell-of-a experience. Music playing people cheering clapping.... no words can adequately describe it..

Hey! This is Keeley Mennie, Taylor Shapiro, Courtney Miller, and Alyssa Lawler from Kappa Kappa Gamma! This is our first Dance Marathon and so far, it is great! There is so much to do between the line dancing and playing with the ADORABLE kids who are all around. Also, hearing the Riley stories is great! It has only been 2.5 hours, so we still have a lot to go, but so far so good! ALC.

2 Days

There are only 2 days left until IUDM! I'm sitting up in the office right now. All that you hear is typing on everyone's laptops. Occasionally someone will play a song from this year's line dance :) Banner's from houses and committees are piling up in the corner, waiting to be raised up in the Hper. Riley buckets are stacked tall throughout both rooms. It's hard to move in the back room because the apparel boxes are as tall as the ceiling. Everyone is a mix of emotions right now. Some of us, including myself feel like the marathon isn't really happening in only 2 days. Whatever we're feeling, we are all so excited to see all the Alumni this weekend and for everyone to watch the live webcast from iudm.org! For those of you joining us at the marathon, get excited to post your experiences throughout the 36 hours! For those that will be here in spirit, keep checking the blog throughout this weekend. It will be viewed by Alumni, Riley Families, and members of the IUDM Family around the world!
